Enhance your features without a ton of makeup.

I'd say about 90% of the women who sit in my chair say something along these lines to me: "I don't really wear makeup, so if you could do something natural, that would be great."  And I respond to them with: "I don't really wear makeup either.  You're in good hands."

I know the trends.  The brows.  The contour.  The winged liner 'on fleek'.

But the thing is, my girl doesn't want to be 'on fleek'.

She is usually running from a coffee date to a lunch meeting or picking her kids up from school to take them to art class & she just wants to feel confident and not like a hot mess during her busy day.  She doesn't want angry brows or cake face.  She wants to glow from within and swipe on a bold lip if she's feeling spicy.

So I am here to declare today:  When it comes to the modern, busy woman? Less is definitely more. Less is more and she and I both know it and we are not here for any of the hype. We are tired of feeling bad for not knowing how to blend eyeshadow (psssst...it's all about the tool you use).

This blog is your place, ladies.  This is a place for you to learn what shortcuts and tricks I have up my sleeve to simplify your beauty routine so you can shine on without feeling ridiculous or covered up.

I'd like to start this section of my website with sharing what features I like to enhance on my face.  You should start thinking about yours too.  I will probably eventually ask you what yours are so pick two.

For me, it is my eyes and lips.  I don't ever play up both.  I will either rock a bold lip and leave the eyes pretty naked aside from a coat of mascara OR I will play up my eyes with a classic black eyeliner and some pretty warm tones on my lids and keep my lips pretty bare or neutral.

See examples below and figure out what your two features are going to be:

And here is how I used to do my makeup way back in the day so stop beating yourself up, ok?  We've all had our 'moments'.  Trust me.
