Enduring....Iconic Color

I am not shy about how I feel about iconic lip colors.  There are certain colors that have been spotted for decades on women every where from the red carpet of Hollywood to the 33rd floor of a Law Firm in NYC or on a mom of two toddlers at the park on a Tuesday afternoon in the spring,  These are also colors that are in every single makeup artists kit.  They are tried and trusted.

What makes a color iconic?  Surely there has to be a reason why women reach for these colors over and over again.  There has to be a reason why they are timeless.

It's because they make women feel POWERFUL.  I am a bold lip evangelist.  If an iconic bold lip makes a woman feel 'uncomfortable'? It has nothing to do with the lip color and everything to do with the lie she is telling herself.  She is not bold enough.  Pretty enough. Cool enough... It's my job to be the voice louder than her inner voice.  PUT ON THE LIPSTICK and pay attention to how amazing it makes you feel when you ignore that lie.

Every woman can and should wear an iconic lip.  It's WHY these colors have stood the test of time.  They are for YOU.

I love all of the original iconic formulas but am not one to remember to reapply or even really want to because yes, I am that lazy.  I love the LimeLight by Alcone Enduring Lip Colors wear for HOURS and don't transfer.  They are also vegan, smell like dessert and don't dry out my lips. WIN!
